♤ Balance & Poker

Privacy policy

Effective September 27, 2026. This policy covers the Balance & Poker native iPhone and iPad app operated by Kyle Connell. Each registered account has a separate private workspace.

Information the app uses

Financial records are stored in Cloudflare databases. Authentication credentials are protected in the iPhone Keychain and on the server; Apple refresh credentials stored on the server are encrypted. Financial views and unsaved drafts stay in app memory and are cleared when the workspace locks. Appearance preferences are stored on-device.

The optional sample workspace holds fictional records and any sample edits only in app memory. Sample records are not uploaded or saved to an account and disappear when you leave the sample workspace or close the app. User-directed sharing can send the selected sample summary outside the app, just as sharing an account summary can.

How information is used

Information is used to run your private tracker, calculate results, save and recover records, secure sign-in, remove device access and process deletion requests. People and Poker records remain separate. Your fresh iPhone account also remains separate from the private website account.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts and processes app data. Apple provides Sign in with Apple and app distribution. Requests include network information such as an IP address; the backend uses a hash of the ingress address for short-lived rate limiting. The app has no advertising or cross-app tracking SDK and does not sell your data. The app does not access contacts, photos or location.

If you email support, the information you send is handled through the support email account to respond to your request. Please avoid including financial records or credentials.

When you choose Share these weeks, the app opens the device share sheet with the selected person's displayed weekly summary. Nothing is sent automatically. You choose the recipient or destination. Copies you choose to share are controlled by that destination and cannot be removed by deleting records in this app.

Retention and deletion

People retains the current history and the two newest completed histories. Completing another history removes the oldest completed history and its details. Poker sessions remain until you explicitly delete them or the account. Deleting a person removes that person's notes and retained histories. Settings → Delete my iPhone account requires confirmation and fresh Apple verification. Accepted account deletion closes access immediately and normally erases active records immediately. Interrupted erasure retries hourly; Apple authorization removal also retries automatically.

Cloudflare's current free-plan recovery history lasts up to seven days. An independent deletion record prevents an older backup from reopening the account. Minimal deletion and revocation hashes and timestamps are retained for that protection. Encrypted Apple credentials awaiting revocation are removed after successful revocation. Website records are unaffected by deleting the separate iPhone account.

People bankroll stores a current total and recent starting-amount, deposit, withdrawal and People-change records. Its history expires 28 days after recording, independently of People history. Expired details are removed from app access and scheduled for database cleanup; recovery backup copies expire within seven more days. Expired bankroll details cannot be restored through the app. Their combined effect remains in the current bankroll balance. Account deletion removes the bankroll too. Poker never changes it.

Your choices

You can edit or delete supported records, remove device sessions, sign out and initiate account deletion inside the app. After deletion finishes, fresh Apple verification lets you create a new empty account; old records remain deleted. For privacy questions, contact playgambogolf@gmail.com.
